On a daily basis this position manages the social media, blogs and review sites of 6 Austin apartment locator offices through content development, regular posting, monitoring and updates. In addition we have ad-hoc projects when expanding into new social media or launching a specific campaign that may apply to all offices or one office as needed. You would work directly with the Marketing Director to establish and follow a posting schedule with a good mix of content from different campaigns. You would also be responsible for developing that content through research and communication with managers, graphic designers and staff at our offices as needed.
We are looking for candidates with strong writing and research skills who have the desire to grow their skill set while building a quality marketing and authorship resume. Ideal candidates are creative and observant to the needs and interests of their target audience within the platform. They would use daily observations to help identify and develop new campaign opportunities as well as develop new content under current campaigns. Simple graphic design skills are also helpful.
This position requires between 5-15 hours a week and can be performed remotely on reasonably flexible schedule. The position also requires you to attend meetings or visit the offices occasionally.
MUST HAVES:
Strong persuasive, authoritative and conversational writing skills that is both audience and brand specific (writing samples required)

Familiar with major Social Media including: Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, Pinterest, Youtube, SlideShare
Familiar with major review sites including: Yelp, Citysearch (CitiGrid Media) and Google MyBusiness
Familiar with the concepts of market segmentation, platform segmentation and content targeting
Competent with major business applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Prezi, Outlook
NICE TO HAVES:
Ability to do typesetting and simple graphic edits in a graphic design program like Fireworks, Illustrator, Inkscape, etc. strongly preferred (please show some work and outline your role in it)
An interest in City of Austin events, lifestyle pieces, and the real estate market
We use Google Drive for file sharing and storage. A Google account is required.
All authorship is conducted as a ghostwriter, under the pen name of the current office manager.
