Campus Ambassador
- Responsibilities
Get your campus pumped about BlueLight. Drive installs, raise awareness, educate, and drum up support. Promote through your network and social media channels. Reach out to local and campus press. Advocate for BlueLight with school administrators. In short: make your campus a safer place.
We'll be arming you with stickers, flyers, talking points and anything else you need to spread the good news.
As an early member of our ambassadorial team, you have the chance to shape the BlueLight program. We want your ideas, your feedback and your creativity. This is your chance to hone your entrepreneurial skills with mentors who are invested in helping you succeed.
This could be your launchpad to great opportunities. Previous ambassadors have received press coverage and an internship with us--and we’re generous with recommendation letters and tapping our network for high performers. Go to bat for us, and we’ll return the favor.
- Qualifications
Sophomores and Juniors preferred
Involvement in/connections to multiple student organizations
Strong social media presence
Ability to improvise, create and adapt
Adventurous, persistent, and willing to try new things
Preferred: available on campus during summer orientation sessions (earn more bonuses!)

- Compensation$.25 per download under your school’s .edu email address (higher per-download rate for schools with under 5000 students). Bonuses ranging from $30-$200 awarded based on number of installs and demonstrated interest from administration.

Right now, if you call 911 from a cell phone on your college campus, chances are the call won't be routed to Campus Safety. Worse yet, whoever you reach likely won't know where you are. Until now, your best bet for getting help fast was to run 200 feet or more to the nearest blue light call box: not an appealing prospect in an emergency.
BlueLight fixes that problem. With the tap of a single button in our app (also easy to install on your Today view/lock screen), we route your emergency calls based on location. If you're on a campus in our network, that means one-tap access to Campus Security, 24/7. They'll get your location without you even having to speak. Off campus, we automatically route your call to 911 or local law enforcement, which means BlueLight gets you the fastest help anytime, anywhere. We'll even ping your emergency contacts with a map to you.
Our On My Way feature makes everyday safety easy. Share your location with your friends or family until you reach an entered destination. Whether you're walking alone at night, on a solo run, or on the road, you can feel reassured that someone you trust has your back.
